Case Study: Exeter Sustainability Awards
The brief
To work alongside Princesshay and partners to support the creation of the Exeter Sustainability Awards, a new awards scheme, launched to recognise all the amazing people, businesses and organisations that are making a difference to sustainability in Exeter.
Our work
Working with lead awards partner Princesshay we were part of the evolution of the first year of the Exeter Sustainability Awards.
Key outputs included Website Project Management |Campaign Project Management | Social Media Management | Content Creation | Media and Partner Relations | Event Organisation
Ahead of the launch of the awards in summer 2022 we managed the creation and development of the website including all copy writing and key message development.
Throughout the awards promotion period we liaised with media partner Exeter Tomorrow to fulfil all feature writing requirements including updating readers on the awards timeline, announcement of the awards ambassador polar explorer Ann Daniels and profiling the highly commended and winners of each category.
Alongside this we also outreached to local & regional media, partners and stakeholders to extend the promotional reach. Our aim was to make sure our client Princesshay and award partners gathered as much coverage of the events as possible to make the first year of the awards a success.
We also created new social media accounts and drafted monthly content across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. To build a new following and generate engagement content themes included reasons behind the new awards, nominations encouragement from people looking to highlight the amazing work of groups in our community and provide regular updates on the awards timeline including closing dates, judging days and shortlists.
The Winners Reception at Sidwell’s Point saw One Voice manage the guest list, creation of the trophies (all sustainably made of course!) photographer and social media on the day.
The final step was to promote the festival of winners via the managed social media channels, event listings and through further partner outreach.
